On the day of his daughter Umay’s release from an eight-year prison sentence, Mümtaz starts a journey with his eight-year-old granddaughter, Efsun. Knowing her mother’s identity only through the warrior Vasilisa’s tale invented by her grandfather, Efsun wants to learn the rest of the story along the way. Trapped between his conscience and his granddaughter’s questions, Mümtaz is forced to confront the reality he has been avoiding, while Efsun stands on the verge of confronting the harsh reality of her past instead of an imaginary hero.
