Yusuf and Leyla are an elderly couple whose daily life is full of constant arguments. While Leyla's world revolves entirely around plants and animals, particular man Yusuf cannot stand the mess they create. Leyla drinks only spring water, which Yusuf brings her by bicycle every other day. On a night of heavy arguing, Yusuf forgets to bring the water and Leyla dies. Her final wish weighs so heavily on his conscience that he loses all sleep. Yusuf will find no peace until he slakes his wife's thirst and has one last quarrel with her.
