In the midst of a health crisis, all theaters are closed and activity is at a standstill. Alphonse, a 60-year-old actor, is struggling to obtain his last quarters of contributions before his retirement. One evening, as he starts his new food job as a night watchman in a deserted theater, a stranger tells him by phone that he is dead.
