Doctor Efkan is a young, idealistic pediatrician at Gerede State Hospital. In winter 1993, he diagnoses nine-day-old Nisa with severe pneumonia. Her family ignores his warnings and takes her home. Realizing the danger, Efkan brings the dying baby back to the hospital, facing tension with the family. Despite limited resources and initial opposition from nurses, he and the staff fight tirelessly. Nisa survives, the town takes notice, and the incident shapes Efkan’s personal and professional life.
