Organized with the contributions of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cinema, Turkish Airlines and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Department of Culture and with the support provided by TRT as the Institutional Partner, Türkmedya as the Institutional Communication Partner, Anadolu Agency as the Global Communication Partner, TV+ as the Communication Sponsor, 6th Bosphorus Film Festival kicks off on October 26, Friday.
Bringing to the Istanbulite audiences the latest and most successful productions of Turkey and the world cinema, 6th Bosphorus Film Festival’s events trigger excitement as well. In addition to the masterclasses where the master directors such as Sergei Loznitsa, Bent Hamer, and Paulo Branco will share their experiences, panel talks with actors, directors and producers including Belçim Bilgin, Mert Firat, Ömer Faruk Sorak, and Zeynep Atakan await the attendance of the cinephiles.

OPENING CEREMONY
At the opening ceremony of 6th Bosphorus Film Festival, Sergei Loznitsa will be presented Honorary Award. In addition, the film “Old Man and The Gun” will be screened.

Organized by International Bosphorus Cinema Association and Istanbul Media Academy, 6th Bosphorus International Film Festival will give a start at the Opening Ceremony to be held at Grand Pera Emek Theatre on the night of October 26. This year, the festival will run from October 26 to November 3, 2018 in Istanbul and the screenings will take place in Atlas, Beyoğlu and Kadıkoy movie theatres. The tickets for all short film screenings will be available for 5 TL, and for feature films, regular tickets for 12.00 and 16.00 screenings will be available for 10 TL and for 19.00 and 21.30 screenings, 15 TL. Student tickets will be available for 5 TL for all the feature screenings. The festival tickets are on sale at mobilet.com.
